"One of the main visions of this ministry is for people to find God as a place of refuge, help, and hope. Our burden is for people, who are in bondage and addicted, to be set free by the power of God. New Hope International is a place where families can receive strength and encouragement and also grow in Christ. Our goal is to stand for the truth of God's Word, to promote unity within our community by tearing down racial and denominational walls, and to destroy the spirit of poverty over this region. Finally, the vision entails, free, Spirit led, Spirit filled, Biblical, and anointed worship services."
The scriptural foundation for this ministry can be found in Luke 4:18-19. (NKJV) "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. Because He has anointed me to preach the Gospel to the poor: He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.
Brief History of New Hope International
In January 1988, New Hope International, formerly known as King's Chapel Church of God, began with only 25 members. After relocating from Kingís Chapel Road to Highway 127 East in June of 1993, the need for a bigger facility was realized. New Hope continued to flourish with the completion of a new 22,000 square foot facility in 1997. In April 2004, 62 acres of land was purchase on Russell Parkway ñ exit 144 off interstate 75. In February 2006, New Hope International broke ground on the Russell Parkway land and in April of 2007, its current 55,000 square foot facility was completed. Since its inception, membership has expanded to over 1700 members under the leadership and direction of Bishop Jeff Poole and his wife Pastor Lisa Poole.
New Hope has always been non-traditional and unorthodox. New Hope Internationalís vision refuses to be placed ìin a boxî or limit what God wants to do in this region and in the world. In April 2005, New Hope International officially came under the spiritual covering of Pastor Clint S. Brown of Faith World Church in Orlando, Florida. Pastor Brownís pastor is Bishop Eddie L. Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church and Bishop Longís pastor is Bishop T.D. Jakes of The Potterís House. After over 20 years, God continues to provide increase and favor to New Hope International.
